Ultimate Java Overland – 13 Days

Upon your arrival at Jakarta International Airport, Meet and Greet with our representative. Then we will transfer you to the hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, visit Old Town Batavia, Fatahillah Square, Sunda Kelapa Harbor & New Chinatown PIK. Drive back to the hotel.

Start our program at 08:30 to explore Jakarta Highlights and landmarks. Explore Central Jakarta by visiting the National Monument, sightseeing around the Welcome Statue and Merdeka Square, the center of the Indonesian government, Istiqlal Mosque, and Jakarta Cathedral. Have lunch at a local restaurant and drive to Bogor Botanical Garden and explore the Botanical Garden. Take a picture in front of the Presidential Palace, visit the Dutch Old Cemetery, and see various Indonesian trees and plants. Drive to the hotel in Sukabumi City.

Pick-up at the hotel at 08:00 AM; drive to Situ Gunung National Park. Enjoy the natural panorama of the tropical forest through the Situ Gunung Suspension Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Southeast Asia. Trek through the tropical rainforest to visit Kembar Waterfall, which is 35 meters high. This location offers a beautiful, magnificent waterfall view. Immerse yourself in Situ Gunung Lake, surrounded by pine trees on the slopes of Mount Gede Pangrango. Experience Sultan Basket Zipline, a hanging chair ride in the form of a basket made of rattan across the river with a route of 100 meters. Drive to Bandung City.

Start our program at 8:00 AM on Braga Street, famous for its colonial architecture and vibrant atmosphere. We will then explore Satay Building (Gedung Sate), Bandung’s iconic landmark, before learning about an important chapter of world diplomacy at the Asian-African Conference Museum. Our discovery continues at the Geology Museum, featuring fascinating collections of fossils, minerals, and Indonesia’s natural history. To conclude the day, we will enjoy a memorable cultural experience at Saung Angklung Udjo with traditional Sundanese music and Angklung performances. Drop-off at the hotel in Bandung.

After breakfast, begin the day at Tangkuban Perahu, one of West Java’s most famous active volcanoes. Take in the dramatic crater views and refreshing mountain air before continuing to a Luwak Coffee site to discover Indonesia’s unique coffee tradition and enjoy a tasting. Continue through the beautiful highlands, passing through lush tea plantations and stopping at a colorful local fruit market filled with fresh tropical produce. The journey then takes you deeper into the countryside, where you can walk beside green rice fields and visit a traditional local village, offering a glimpse into the peaceful rhythm of everyday life in rural Java. After the visit, leave the West Java highlands behind and begin the approximately 6-hour overland journey to Semarang, enjoying Java's changing landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and rest.

After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to Borobudur Temple, the world’s largest Buddhist monument and one of Indonesia’s most remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Explore its impressive stone terraces, ancient reliefs, and iconic stupas while discovering the history and philosophy behind this extraordinary 9th-century masterpiece. Continue to Prambanan Temple, Indonesia’s largest Hindu temple complex. Admire its towering temples dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma, and discover the ancient stories carved into its beautifully detailed stone reliefs. After breakfast, begin the day at the Sultan’s Palace (Kraton Yogyakarta), the cultural heart of Yogyakarta and home of the city’s royal family. Continue to Taman Sari Water Castle, a former royal garden known for its historic bathing pools, traditional architecture, and hidden passages. Leave Yogyakarta and continue to Solo, starting with De Tjolomadoe, a beautifully restored former sugar factory that reflects Java’s colonial and industrial heritage. Continue to Kampung Batik Kauman, where generations of artisans have preserved the tradition of handmade Javanese batik. Visit Pura Mangkunegaran, an elegant royal palace showcasing Javanese architecture, history, and aristocratic heritage. After the tour, continue the journey to Malang City. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take an early rest to prepare for the next morning’s Bromo sunrise adventure.

Begin your adventure early in the morning with a departure from Malang for Mount Bromo. Travel by 4WD Jeep across the volcanic landscape and reach the viewpoint in time to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru. After sunrise, descend into the vast Sea of Sand and continue toward Mount Bromo Crater. Walk across the volcanic landscape and climb to the crater rim for an up-close experience of one of Java’s most iconic active volcanoes. Return toward Malang and visit Jodipan Colorful Village, a once-ordinary riverside neighborhood transformed into a vibrant attraction filled with brightly painted houses, colorful alleys, murals, and local community life. After the visit, continue the scenic overland journey through East Java toward the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall area. After breakfast, begin an adventurous exploration of Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, one of East Java’s most spectacular natural wonders. Admire the incredible curtain of waterfalls cascading from the surrounding cliffs before trekking down into the lush valley for a closer experience of its powerful beauty. Continue through the tropical landscape to Tetes Cave and Waterfall. After completing the waterfall exploration, return to your accommodation to freshen up before beginning the scenic overland journey to Banyuwangi. Upon arrival in Banyuwangi, check in at your hotel and rest before your next adventure.

Take time to experience the raw beauty of one of East Java’s most remarkable natural landmarks before descending from the crater and returning to your hotel for breakfast and check-out. Afterward, leave Banyuwangi and travel to Ketapang Harbor, where you will cross the Bali Strait by ferry to Bali. Continue by private vehicle through the island’s changing landscapes to your hotel in Bali.
